Road Safety Update |
||
|
Dear all,
This week, Ross-on-Wye Safer Neighbourhood Team have continued to focus on areas of concern raised by the local community. These concerns relate to anti-social driving behaviours and excess speed.
In response to this, officers and PCSOs have been taking part in road safety activities.
Also acting on community concerns, the team have been out at Peterstow conducting speed monitoring checks. From 11:00 am to 11:30 am today, 100 vehicles were monitored, with the maximum speed recorded as 41mph, the minimum 26mph, and the average overall being 33mph. These results have been fed back to the local Community Council.
Earlier in the week, officers also met with the local Community Speed Watch volunteers near Archenfield Road to discuss their concerns and support the work they do within the community.
Further to this, acting on concerns from the public, officers seized a vehicle for no tax on Blake Avenue. This vehicle was untaxed since July!
Did you know? The Ross-on-Wye Town area has several SID (Speed Indicator Devices) which record data. The data for these devices are published online and can be viewed on Ross Town Council’s website: https://www.rosstc-herefordshire.gov.uk/meetings/planning-development-sub-committee/
Kind regards,
